To facilitate bring-up, the machine has been equipped with two human interface modules 02/10 on a sloped panel, the so-called "Inbetriebnahmehilfsgeraet".

The computational board carries 10 ATmega microcontrollers, each emulating two computationall functions.

A closer look behind the front panel:

Eight of the twenty computational "amplifiers" are wired to the output converter:

Performing a diagnostic function, each computational "amplifier" emits it's device address (02, 03, 04 and so on), supplemented by a hexadecimal 1 or 10, depending on the parity (even or odd) of the device address.

The computational board:

The master controller / converter board:

-
KG = master controller (Kommandogeraet)
-
AW = output converter (Ausgabewandler)
-
EW = input converter (Eingabewandler)
-
FG = function generator (Funktionsgenerator)
